Son of John Egan and Catherine Minogue. Was among the first Garda Group to travel on a Pilgrimage to Rome to meet the Pope in 1928. Retired in 1955 and resided in Ballyvannon, Counry Clare. Never married or had any children. Died on 26th March 1984 in Raheeny Hospital, Limerick. He is buried in Bodyke Cemetery in County Clare. |
