| Further Notes: | Son of James St. Ledger (a Farmer) and Margaret Greene. During War of Independence Served as Battalion Police Officer in 5th battalion 3rd Company East Clare IRA Brigade. Married Margaret Sheehan on 11th June 1924 at the Church of the University, Dublin. They had three children. Retired in 1931 while stationed in Moneygall, County Offaly. Resided at Red Cow, Clondalkin, Dublin. Died on 30th May 1961 at St. Luke's Hospital in Rathgar, Dublin. He is buried in Doneany Graveryard, Tully, Monasterevan, Co. Kildare. | ||
