| Further Notes: | Andrew Connolly was born in Skibbereen, County Cork. He was the son of Denis Connolly (a Railway Labourer) and Nora Collins. Promoted to Sergeant on 1st October 1922, reverted to a Garda rank on 12th January 1923 before returning to the rank of Sergeant on 1st March 1923. Married Brigid Griffin on 10th October 1928 in St. Joseph's Church, Galway. Died while serving from illness on 28th September 1931 at his residence in Dalysfort Road, Salthill, Galway. | ||
