Son of Thomas Hartigan (a Farmer) and Mary Ryan. Married Mary O'Mara on 29th January 1930 in St. Ailbe's Church in Emly, County Tipperary. Moved to Wexford on 21st October 1938 where he his family resided. Retired on 21st September 1963 after 41 years and 140 days of exemplary service. Died on 23rd May 1974. His son Sean Hartigan also served in the Gardai. |
