Son of John Marnell (a labourer) and Kate Byrne. Married Dora Clarke on 17th January 1931 in St. Joseph's Church, Limerick. They had eight children. He retired in 1966 and resided at Church Avenue, Templemore, County Tipperary. Died on 20th March 1988 at the Hospital of the Assumption, Thurles, County Tipperary. He is buried in Templemore with his wife Dora and twin infants Alexander and Brendan. |
