| Further Notes: | On 20th September 1922 while stationed in Ship Street Barracks in Dublin, Eastwood was accidentally shot by his friend, Guard Leo Herde, who pointed his revolver at him forgetting it was loaded. He was seriously injured and later died on 24th September at Mercer Hospital . He was given a funeral procession with his remains escorted by the Civic Guard. He is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery. | ||
