Son of Francis Colton (a Blacksmith) and Annie Connolly. Married Eliza Sweeney on 30th April 1930 in Aughavas Church, Carrigallen, County Leitrim. Worked in Border Duty while stationed in Belturbet. Retired on 5th June 1964. Died on 13th May 1988. He is buried in St. Patrick's Cemetery, Corracrin, Emyvale, County Monaghan. |
