| Further Notes: | Henry Gerard 'Harry' Twamley was the son of William Twamley (a Door Porter) and Mary Rapple. Married Margaret 'Peggy' Clarke. on 8th September 1943 in St. Agatha's Church, Dublin. They had three sons and a daughter. In 1932 Harry was a champion cysclist and in 1932 set an Irish record for the 25 mile distance in the Palmer Cup Championship, along with gold medals from the Tailteann Games. Spent many years as a miniseterial driver in Dublin. retired and resided for many years in Templemore, County Tipperary. He died on 19th May 2001 in Adreen Nursing home in Thurles. | ||
