| Further Notes: | Son of William Dillon (a Tin Smith) and Bridget Quilligan. Was among the first Civic Gaurds to arrive in Craughwell, County Galway on 27th Octoebr 1922. He then served in Gort and in October 1923 transferred to Emly, County Tipperary. Resigned from the Civic Guards and emigrated to America. Married Helen Flynn on 4th January 1929 in New York. Died on 22nd August 1964 in New York. He is buried in Saint Charles Cemetery, East Farmingdale, Suffolk County, New York. | ||
