William Patrick Murphy was actually born on *12th March 1897. He was the son of Francis Murphy (a Farmer) and Jane Cosgrove. Married Margaret 'Madge' Shanahan on 19th August 1933 in St. Michael's Church, Dungegan, County Kerry. They had two sons and six daughters. Retired on 17th December 1947. Died on 22nd April 1978 in Portmageee, County Kerry. He is buried in Portmagee Cemetery. |
