Patrick Alfred Hanly was the son of Patrick Hanly ( farmer) and Winefred Beirne. Promoted to Sergeant on 1st August 1923. Married Bridget Brady on 30th June 1925 in Drumlish Church, County Longford. Patrick was fluent in Irish speaking. He retired on 1st June 1953. Died on 24th December 1991. He was brother of Garda Michael Hanly Reg No. 5381. |
