| Further Notes: | See also Reg Number W140. Was actually born on *15th April 1901 in Moyhenna. Son of James Kelly (a farmer) and Anne Connor. During War of Independence seved in 1st Battalion 4th Western F Company IRA Brigade. Stationed in Tralee, County Kerry where he met and married Maria Thomasina Brennan on 24th July 1928 in St. John's Church in Tralee. They had seven children. Retired on 14th April 1963 and settled in Offaly Street in Athy, County Kildare (where he had been stationed since arriving in 1928). Died on 2nd June 1977 in St. Vincent's Hospital, Athy. He is buried in New St. Michael's Cemetery, Athy. | ||
