Michael Francis Duggan (Known as Frank Duggan) was born in the Parish of Killala, County Mayo. He was the son of John Duggan (a Farmer) and Maria McGurrin. Served in the North Mayo IRA Brigade. Married Elizabeth Barry on 1st September 1924 in St. Peter and Paul's Church in Clonmel. He became a widower and then married Winifred Murphy on 13th August 1946 in St. Andrew's Church in Dublin. Upon retirement resided in Coislinne, Gorey, County Wexford. Died on 25th February 1970 in Meath Hospital in Dubin. He is buried in Ballyoughter Cemetery, Gorey. His brother was also a Garda: James Duggan (Reg No. 4401) and his brother Anthony Duggan was in the DMP (Warrant Number 10627) |
