| Further Notes: | James Edward McDonagh was the son of Bernard McDonagh (a Landholder) and Bridget English. Promoted to Sergeant in March 1930. Married Eileen in 1939 in Lourdes, France. Was Sergeant in Littleton, County Tipperary in 1940 and spent 18 years statioend there. Arrived to Nenagh, County Tipperary in 1958. Retired on 13th September 1961. He was one of the founding members of the Garda Pensioner Branch in Nenagh. Died on 6th May 1974. He is buried in Lisboney Cemetery, Nenagh. | ||
