Son of Denis Jackson (a Car Owner) and Mary Lynch. He was a Sergeant when he Married Annie 'Nancy' Derrick on 29th April 1925 in Sligo Cathedral. They had three children. Appointed Inspector (Cigire) on 10th October 1925 Promoted to Superintendent on 17th December 1932. Was stationed in Buncrana from 1951 until 1963. Retired in 1963 and resided in Ranelagh, Dublin. Died on 8th January 1972 in Our Lady's Hospice, Dublin. He is buried in Deansgrange Cemetery in Dublin. |
