Patrick Charles Searson was the son of James Searson (Constable RIC/Government Official) and Anne Jane Guinn. During youth he travelled around the world such as the Far East (Kuber Pass in Pakistan), South America, Germany, France, Holland and Belgium. He was among the Irish Soldiers who took part in the Connaught Rangers Mutiny in India in 1920 as their way of supporting the War of Independence back in Ireland. After leaving the military he joined the Civic Guards. Married Mary Barry on 27th November 1928 in Lismore, County Waterford. Spent 30 years stationed in Ferrybank, County Waterford. Retired in September 1964 and resided in Marymount, Ferrybank. Died on 6th January 1982. He is buried in 6 Jan 1982 Ferrybank Catholic Churchyard. |
