Also known as Hugh Cadden. Born in Suharn, Crossbane, County Cavan. Son of Hugh Carolan (Constable RIC) and Ellen Cassity. Married Bridget Farrelly on 20th August 1936 in Aughrim Street Church in Dublin. Died 3rd August 1962 in Dublin. He is interred in Interred in Dublin with a memorial at St Kilian's Cemetery in Mullagh. His brother was Garda Andrew Charles Carolan (Reg No. 5581). His cousin was Garda Hugh Reilly (Reg No. 2587). |
