| Further Notes: | Born in Rotherham, Yorkshire, England. He was the son of Thomas Corley ( a Chemical Worker) and Mary Tunney. Was a Volunteer in the Irish National Army in 1922 Stationed in Custume Barracks (Reg No. 20692). Married Johanna McMahon on 7th January 1932 in Newtownsandes, Listowel, County Kerry. Promoted to Sergeant in 1936. After he retired he lived in Dromahair, Leitrim (last palce he was stationed). Died 14th December 1966 in Our Lady's Hospital in Manorhamilton, Leitrim. He is buried in Glasnevin Cemetery Dublin with his daughter Mary Maher (nee Corley). | ||
