William J. Keegan was born in Devonshire, England. Son of Patrick Keegan (Officer in the Ministry of Pensions) and Catherine Hardy. Married Alice O'Sullivan on 18th September 1924 in Rath Church, County Cork. They had four children. Was in charge of Weights and Measurements Section at Garda Headquarters when he Retired in 1965. Resided at Laburnum Park, Modelfarm Road, Cork. Died on 19th December 1982 at Cork Regional Hospital. He is buried in Tullagh Cemetery, Skibbereen, Cork. |
