Patrick Joseph Gardiner was born on 17th March 1903 and was the son of Patrick Gardiner (a Farmer) and Mary Carroll.Served in Kilkenny Brigade during War of Independence. Promoted to Sergeant 1st November 1922. Married Margaret Dempsey on 30th April 1928 in Waterford Cathedral. Retired on 23rd November 1945. Settles in Dublin and worked as a salesman. Died on 15th October 1961 in Ballsbridge, Dublin. He is buried in Redford Cemetery, Greystones, County Wicklow. |
