Son of Richard Kelly (a farmer) and Julia Murphy. Was awarded a Scott Medal in 1930 when he, Sergent Arthur Cullen (Reg No, 1938) and James Leddy (Reg No. 1984) apprehended three armed IRA men who kidnapped a man in Cappawhite, Tipperary . Retired on 30th October 1966. Died on 21st May 1982. He is buried in St. Peteer's Churchyard in Bray. |
