Jack McDonagh was the son of ?. During the War of Independence he was in the IRA, where he was an NCO with Medical Service of C Company, 3rd Battalion East Connemara Brigade and Assistant Quartermaster of Moycullen Camp. Retired on 1st October 1952 and resided in Bridge Street, Oughterard. Died on 14th June 1984. He is buried in Kilcummin Cemetery, Oughterard, County Galway. His son, Tony McDonagh was a Garda Sergeant. |
