| Further Notes: | James Joseph Connolly was born in Union Street, Cookstown, County Tyrone. He was the son of Henry Kelly (a Tailor/Cutter) and Mary Culkin. Was among the first Civic Guards to arrive in Ballinaboola, County Wexford. Promoted to Sergeant in December 1924. Married Mary Kate Kelly on 15th August 1940 in St. Lawrence O'Toole Church, Dublin. Retired and resided in Dublin. Died in 1979. | ||
