| Further Notes: | In May 1923 while Stationed in Nenagh Barracks he was leaving the building to go on duty where the door got caught in the bike wheel and caused him to fall. The glasses he was wearing broke and a piece of glass went into his eye, resulting in him losing the sight of that eye. His family wrote correspondence to Sean MacEoin seeking compensation for the injury. | ||
