Christopher George Seavers was born in Convent Lane, Athlone, County Westmeath. He the son of Michael Seavers (a Postman) and Anne Cowley. Married Mary Crotty on 26th April 1919 in Midleton, County Cork. They had six children. Upon retirement in 1958 set up an auctioneer business in Kilkee, County Clare, where he was also a town commissioner for Fianna Fail. Died on 24th September 1981 in St. Joseph's Hospital in Ballina, County Mayo. He is buried in Lisdeen Cemetery, Kilkee. |
