He was the son of Patt King and Ellen Fahy and spent alot of his early childhood in England until 1912. Served in the IRA during the War of Independence. Posted to Ardagh, County Longford until he married Margaret Kenny thereon 20th October 1926. As a result he was transferred to Portarlington (Laois) until 1938 and then to Carlow until his retirement on 14th July 1964. He died on 22nd December 1975. He is buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Carlow. |
