Francis John Kelly was the son of John Kelly (a Carpenter) and Hannah Brooks. Spent two years as a Lieutenant in the Irish National Army with the Engineer Corps and stationed in Claremorris, County Mayo. Married Bridget Langan on 25th July 1928 in Ringsend Church, Donnybrook,Dublin. They had two children. Sergeant Kelly died suddenly on 30th March 1932 at St. John's Hospital Limerick in the aftermath of complications from surgery. He is buried with his family in New Rahoon Cemetery, Galway |
