| Further Notes: | He was a Corporal in the National Army from 1940 until 1942. Stationed in: Roscommon (Ballinameen) and Mayo (Bangor Erris, Bellacorrick, Glenamoy and Corssmolina) He married Una Gallagher on 28 October 1965 and had one daughter, who tragically died in a fire. Garda Greene was killed while serving on 17 October 1967 at Crossmolina Garda Station, County Mayo after being Poisoned. Mary Feehan was put on trial and found guilty for his murder on two occasions but later acquited in 1969. Hugh Greene is buried in Faulmore/Fallmore Cemetery, Blacksod, County Mayo | ||
