Son of Michael Twomey (a farmer) and Margaret Cotter. Married Eileen Callanan on 16th October 1936 in Carramore Church in Oughterard District, County Galway. They had 9 children. Promoted to Sergeant on 21st October 1941. Promoted to Inspector on 4th March 1966 and posted to Roscommon. Retired on 1st June 1972 and settled in Kilmacud, Dublin. He died on 20th July 1979. He is buried in Deansgrange Cemetery in Dublin. |
