| Further Notes: | Son of James Forde (a farmer) and Rose Connelly. Awareded a Bronze Scott Medal in 1941 for his bravery in pursuing two armed men while he himself was unarmed. Married Bridget Eustace in June 1952 and had 5 children. Was a Sergeant in Malahide when he retired in 1971. Died shortly afterwards on 13th September 1971 at Inbher Inde, Malahide. He is buried with his wife in Yellow Walls Cemetery in Malahide. | ||
